Busy working on projects

Well, I started out strong, posting two days in a row, but then the work week got started and I started to slip a little. So here’s what I’m working on…

For the past twelve years I’ve been the leader of an online community called EMTLife. EMTLife is the largest and most active online community for first responders, EMTs, Paramedics, and others interested in the EMS industry. Over the years my role has changed, from being a moderator, to a site administrator, to my role in advertising and marketing of the site.

I’m also working on several social media projects. I love being able to engage with people from different backgrounds, coming together for a common purpose. Over the next few weeks I hope to go into more detail and share what I’m working on.

Until then, have a great day!

New on Netflix

In addition to binge watching Comedians Getting Coffee in Cars on Crackle, I can also be found watching Netflix. It looks like they’re releasing over 50 new shows and movies this month. You can see the complete list on ABC’s site. They also link iTunes and TV new releases as well.

What will I be watching on Netflix?
2 Fast 2 Furious (2002)
Meet the Fockers (2004)
Meet the Parents (2000)
Swordfish (2001)
The Whole Ten Yards (2004)
Training Day (2001)
Parks and Recreation: Season 7
Sirens: Season 2

As we begin the first work week of the new year, I’ll be posting about some of the projects I’m working on. I’ll try to go into as much depth as possible.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee

After working on some projects in the morning, I spent the rest of new year’s day in front of the television binge watching a new show, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. This show is about sixteen to twenty minutes long and shows comedian and actor Jerry Seinfeld picking up a famous comedian in a classic car, driving to a coffee shop, chatting along the way. Once they arrive, they order coffee (obviously) and just start talking.

While heavily edited, these chats don’t have any central topic. The conversation bounces around just like a normal conversation with a friend would. I really enjoy this type a show (another show about nothing?) and can see myself following it on a weekly basis.

The show is produced by Crackle. Crackle has an app for smartphones, tablets and televisions. I’ve been using the television app and while I’m able to watch the show, it doesn’t seem to be very user friendly. I have to go through the menu each time to watch the next show, instead of the next episode automatically playing. Besides that little annoyance, everything about the experience is just fine. You can also watch the show on their website:

If you have some spare time I recommend you watching an episode or two. I think you’ll enjoy the little break.

The theme is boring… but I love it

Yeah, the theme is boring. There’s not a lot going on with it. And that suits me just fine.

I hope to be posting some random stuff over the next few days. And when I say random, I mean random. Grab a cup of coffee, sit down and just start typing.

I’ve also been saying this for about five or so years so the likelihood of this happening is not great, but we’ll see what happens.
