I just wanted to take a moment and talk about a game I downloaded for my HTC Droid Eris. It’s called Robo Defense.
I found the free version of this game while scrolling through the Android Marketplace Games. It had a high review rating so I thought heck, it’s free, why not give it a shot. It quickly became a very addicting game.
The goal of the game is to prevent enemy robots, tanks and aircraft from getting into your base. You build up a defense of cannons, road blocks, surface to air missiles to prohibit them from reaching your base’s main door.
Once you learn the basics of the game you’ll be able to start planning strategies to complicate their movements.
On the third or fourth try I was able to successfully beat the game. However, just because you beat it once doesn’t mean you can’t play it again. You can try different …
On Sunday, March 14, 2010 I decided to step outside my comfort zone and purchase a new phone. This might not seem like a big deal to most of you, but I like to keep things simple. It takes me a few moments to deal with change. Changing my phone, especially to something like the one I bought, was a huge step. I decided it was time to upgrade to a smartphone.
Why a smartphone?
There have been several times where I was out for a walk or waiting for an appointment and I either get an idea, had a question about something, or was just bored, and sending a text email to remind myself to look something up later wasn’t cutting it anymore. I wanted to jot down the idea or find the answer to my question right then.
Also, I often hang out at my local Starbucks on my days off …
Today’s forecast: Party Cloudy, Breezy, Low 70′s
Translation – A perfect day to take in the Sarasota Farmers’ Market in Downtown Sarasota.
For the last couple of weeks it’s either been raining or too cold to enjoy my favorite Saturday morning activity: attending the Sarasota Farmers’ Market. Today’s weather couldn’t have been more perfect so I decided to make an appearance.
I first stopped off at the fruit stand at S. Lemon and 1st Street. I wish I knew the name of the place but I couldn’t find it today. I bought a few things and started to walk around.
Today was the first time I tried a drink from Java Dawg Coffee. I’ll be completely honest: I’m not the biggest coffee fan but the people were very friendly and my drink was made promptly. They serve out of a double decker bus that has a sitting area with umbrellas on top. I haven’t …
So lately I’ve been looking for a cause. Something I can do to make a difference, even if it is a small one.
So my first goal is to reduce energy use.
While the electric bill is not that high, I want it to be as small as I can get it. So I took a look around to see what I can do to make a difference.
First, the A/C. Yeah, it gets hot in Florida but why cool the entire house when I spend most of my free time in front of the computer? So I knocked the temperature setting up a couple of degrees and purchased a small, four inch fan to blow on me while I’m at my desk. The fan is quiet so it doesn’t bother me, plus I usually have my headphones on anyway …
Sometimes I find myself just staring at the screen daydreaming planning on what I’m going to do next with this site. I keep telling myself to keep it simple, just let the site grow around me and the business. But then excitement kicks in and I start adding a little more here and a little more there.
Today I decided to move the site from a forum based to a WordPress based site. It will grow over the next couple of weeks into something that I hope you check every now and then.
Enjoy!
